Just thought you all should know...

This is the most amazing boy ever!!!!

Just another Day at Work

I work for a fun little place called the BYU Telefund. I am a student supervisor so basically what I do is monitor calls, answer questions, and give people suggestions on ways to improve their calling. I also get the opportunity to plan a theme week twice a semester. Themes are used to keep things fun and interesting for the callers. This past week I was in charge of theme and I decided to do outdoor adventure week. The pictures I have posted were from "Safari Day". If you can't tell, Becky and I are supposed to be Zebras...we just liked the sunhats too. It was a lot of fun. Stay tuned for Disney week in about a month!

The last of summer....

It's hard to believe that summer fun is over and it's back to school. I was able to do a lot this summer though, especially this last month. It started out with a trip back home to Wisconsin for my friend Julie's Wedding. She got married in Nauvoo and it was absolutely beautiful! I am so proud of her. It was a wonderful thing to see and it set a great example for the rest of us.

Here is a picture of the temple in Nauvoo. I think it will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember visiting Nauvoo when I was younger and all you could see were pieces of the foundation and a model of what the temple looked like. The early saints sacrificed so much to establish Nauvoo, I am glad that it has been restored so well. It gives us the opportunity to not only enjoy but also understand how hard it would have been to leave behind or see destroyed.

Also, while I was home I had the opportunity to visit my great grandma Geneva. She is 87 and has alzheimers disease. It's kind of hard going to visit her because she doesn't really remember me but she does love to have company so it's worth it. It makes me sad though because ten years ago she was living on her own and I would go visit her so we could pick raspberries from her garden.

Spending some quality time with the little brother.

The last half of the month I got to spend time with my favorite person. Tim and I had a lot of fun on our company cat trip. He can always make me laugh:)

After the company trip, Tim and I went back up to Idaho and spent some time in Twin Falls and Pocatello. Doesn't he make that motorcycle look good?

This is the car we found parked out side of Chili's. Tim got pretty excited :)

Now it's time to go back to school... I am looking forward to the new semester. It will be busy and a little lonely...but it should be a good one.

Home Sweet Home

These are pictures of the house my family just moved into. It's a nice house in Verona, WI. I really like the deck and overall it is bigger than the farmhouse and it even has three bathrooms! ( The old place only had one, which was a little tough with four women under one roof.) However, even though the new house is nice I am really going to miss the farm.

this was home...It's kind of hard to think of the farm being sold. It was a good house and a fun place to grow up, but just too far away from everything I guess.

I have lots of good memories though...like playing in the creek out in the pasture till Mom would yell at us about getting diseases or leeches or whatever. Searching for new litters of kittens every spring was a lot of fun as well.

This is the lane we had to walk down every morning to catch the bus. Except I was usually late so I had to sprint down it. My bus driver likes to take credit for all of my track accomplishments. He says he was the best trainer I could have ever asked for. Thanks Larry...

Adventures in Moab

Well, summer is almost over but it has been one to remember. Moab is AMAZING!!! I have had so much fun being a river guide. It hasn't been easy, Steve and Nicki work us hard, but really on the river work and play go hand in hand. I have had lots of crazy adventures with all of my new found friends. We survived training in the freezing cold of early May and helped one another endure the endless Ciscos (three day youth trips) through the scorching heat of summer. Whether it be mountain biking in the dark, late night floats through the rapids, or crazy birthday surprises I couldn't have done it without them. And then there is Tim....need I say more :) Tim joined our little group after training just in time for the start of the season. I came back from the two week break between the end of training and the start of the season to find a green VW bus parked in the yard. I walked up to the warehouse and saw this bearded, hairy guy sitting on the couch. Needless to say, I instantly knew who owned the bus and was intrigued. We didn't start dating right away but after doing a few Ciscos together and hanging out around the warehouse we decided we might like each other...turns out we did and life has been good ever since. He has introduced me to rock climbing, which I think I might actually be good at. I bought my first pair of climbing shoes on the way back from our Idaho trip this last weekend. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to the river and Moab for this season but I look forward to coming back next summer.
